Recently the leaked image of Xiaomi second bezel less phone Mi Mix 2 got a great appreciation for the device being totally bezel less. Confirming about the device, Xiaomi has officially informed that the Mi MIX 2 smartphone will be unveiled at an event on September 11.
The second generation of the popular Mi Mix series of smartphones has undergone several leaks and rumors, but now the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has confirmed that the launch will take place in Beijing, according to a Weibo report. While the report says that the event will take place at the University of Technology Gymnasium in the capital, however, the time of the launch event has not been unveiled yet.
The smartphone will be designed by Philippe Starck, the same French designer who previously worked on the original Mi MIX. The designer recently shared a concept design video of the Mi MIX 2 to build the excitement, days ahead of the launch. Based on the leaks and speculation, the second-generation Mi MIX 2 will feature a screen-to-body ratio of 93 per cent. That means the screen will completely dominate the front face of the smartphone, similar to that of the Essential smartphone.
Most of the notable fact about the device launch is the launch date of the device is one day prior to iPhone 8 launch event of Apple. As we all know this year iPhone 8 will have the bezel less display and other interesting features.

Specification of Mi Mix 2
According to various leaks, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. This is a common chipset available on most flagship devices. This phone is expected to come in the 6GB RAM variant. However, it won’t be surprising if the Chinese company comes up with an 8GB RAM model of the Mi MIX 2. In terms of display, the Mi MIX could feature a big 6.4-inch QHD display with 1440×2560 resolution. When it comes to the camera, this phone might not have the dual setup.
The rear camera is expected to be of 19MP and the selfie shooter of 13MP. With such massive specs, the phone will feature at least a 4,500mAh battery. While the feature of facial recognition is a thing Apple may introduce in the iPhone 8, some reports have said that even Xiaomi may bring the same on the Mi MIX 2.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is expected to be launched with the bit higher price tag compared to last year Mi MIX. This year Xiaomi may price the device 45,000 in Indian rupees and approx $750.
However, since the Mi MIX did not come to India, there is a big question mark on the launch of Mi MIX 2. However, since Xiaomi India Vice President shared an image of the phone from his own Twitter handle, there is a big chance that the phone may come to India.
